The distance between the two cameras for stereo vision is on average the same distance as the human eyes = 63mm / 2.5inches. It also depends on the focal distance and the size of the captured subject. I want you to explore on your own the rig for the cameras / mobile phones and see what distance is the best for your intended use.

REMOVE RGB Color in Premiere Pro
Frame differentiation example (illusion of 3D)
BOTTOM VIDEO LAYER:
1) do not shift frames
2) Lumetri Color > RED CURVE all the way down to 0 (G and B up to 100)
TOP VIDEO LAYER
1) shift by 1-5 frames depending on the action
2) trim and sync audio
3) blending mode > Lighten
4) Lumetri Color > GREEN/BLUE CURVE all the way down to 0 (R up to 100)

ASSIGNMENT
09 • Stereoscopic Imaging
Using two identical cameras, create a home made, secure rig to protect them, and experimenting with variable lens distances (63mm), you will create two distinct sets of projects:
A) USING the 3D RIG create a static series of stereoscopic images > 5 still lives + 5 human portraits.
Generate:
1) a side by side rendering of such images
2) an animated gif for each stereo image
3) an anaglyph Red/Blue version for each image
B) USING the 3D RIG create a stereoscopic video that will be seen using Red/Blue Anaglyph glasses.
The video must be max 30s, 1080P, mp4/h.264, 24fps|30fps, edited in Premiere using the Lumetri effect to eliminate color channels, and the “Lighten” blend mode.
C) With NO 3D RIG, just a single camera, create a 30 second, 1080P, MP4/h.264 “fake” anaglyph video that you will shoot yourselves.
Explore depth and frame distancing for better results. The video must be max 30s, 1080P, mp4/h.264, 24fps|30fps, edited in Premiere using the Lumetri effect to eliminate color channels, and the “Lighten” blend mode.
